How did the interest in sports, and specifically in Tae Kwon Doh?

I grew up in a gym as a little kid. This oweain the my father who was also my teacher at Tae Kwon DoGrowing up, it became a way of life and then my love for children and sports made me want to become a professional in the sport I loved as a child. So, with the help of the children's parents, I founded my own club.

In the context of World Day Tae Kwon Dthe on September 4th, tell us a few words about the origin and history of this sport.

The Tae Kwon Dthe is the most popular Korean martial art and the national sport of Korea. It is one of the mostnodata and complete martial arts worldwide and since 2000 the competitive part of the fight (which is now the most widespread) became an official Olympic sport in Sydney, Australia where we had the first Olympic gold medal from Michalis Mouroutsos. In 2004 in Athens we had the 2 silver Olympic medals from the late Alexandros Nikolaidis and Elisabeth Mystakidou. Also tthe 2008 silver medal in Beijing from the late Alexandros Nikolaidis.

What benefits does someone who engages in this type of exercise have?;

With the Tae Kwon Dthe, children learn to control and strengthen their bodies. Through training, they develop flexibility, endurance and strength. At the same time, the Tae Kwon Dthe It boosts self-confidence and discipline, helping children become more organized and focused.

Students learn to work with their bodies from a very young age. age. Working flexibility, strength and endurance, they know their limits and exceed them at every stage. This is also our goal. When a child, after a period of time, learns to control his body, the child's self-confidence automatically changes and improves.

The Tae kwon do It is also an effective form of self-defense. Through training, children will learn techniques that will allow them to protect themselves in emergency situations, but also to feel safer in their everyday lives.

Finally, the
Our students learn to work as a team, help each other and achieve common goals. Team spirit is something that will benefit them at every stage of their lives, from school to their professional careers.

From what age can one get involved in Tae Kwon Dthe and for how long?

The ideal age for a child to start is 4 years old. At this age the mind is like a sponge and so you can create tthe child and to work with him much easier. But it does not mean that a child of 8 or 10 years old or even older cannot follow. We have met athletes who start at an older age and become champions.

What are the levels of the sport and how does the athlete achieve them?

Levels are first the zones or otherwise the degree CUP. A child starts at white belt and to reach black it takes 5 years. When the child reaches half black after one year of teaching he takes exams for black belt and 1DAN. Then he starts to mature and understands what he is doing. Then the grade begins DAN that it takes the corresponding number of years to reach the second, third, and so on.

As for competitions, a child starts at a young age in friendly competitions, gains experience and gradually learns to compete on the field. Then, when he reaches the appropriate age and has acquired the appropriate level cup, that is, the zone can compete in an official championship of the Union TKD of Northern Greece or respectively of the Hellenic Football Federationae Kwon Do .

How can someone become a coach?

There are two ways to become a coach. The first way is to study TEFA and choose a specialization. Tae Kwon DoThe second way to be an athlete Taekwondo, to have reached black belt and 2 Dan and attend the coaching school of the General Secretariat of Sports. But for me, the most important thing to become a good coach is to love the children and what you do.

Thank you very much.

I thank you too.
