Pezoporia Mount Paiko

Mount Paiko is located on the border of Kilkis and Pella prefectures. Its name comes from Slavicpajak> which means spider and was given to it because of its formation, with low hills and its large area reminiscent of a spider's web.

Our relatively walkable 3.5 km route started from an observation post at an altitude of 1100 m, where the bus dropped us off and we walked a total elevation gain of 190 m, with guides guiding us and a view of the Stravopotamos gorge.

We passed picturesque wooden bridges named after the Muses of mythology, dense vegetation and clear, cool, running water, until we reached an organized forest area from where we boarded the bus again for our next destination.
